Josh received a BS and an MS from Yale in molecular, cellular and developmental biology before matriculating at Weill Cornell Medical College, before graduating with an MD from Cornell and a PhD from Rockefeller University. Josh’s work on the genetic and neural changes underlying foraging strategies in C. elegans, conducted in the lab of Dr. Cori Bargman at Rockefeller, formed the basis of his PhD dissertation and led to two first-author publications in Nature and in eLife. As a medical student, Josh also performed psychiatric evaluations for patients being seen at the student-run Weill Cornell Community Clinic.
