Dr. Christin Kosse is a postdoctoral fellow in Dr. Jeffrey Friedman’s Laboratory of Molecular Genetics at The Rockefeller University. Her work investigates how neuronal circuits control feeding behaviour and obesity. Currently, she focuses on how a subset of neurons can suppress overfeeding. To address this question, she uses in vivo techniques to image neuronal activity and to assess behaviour, which she supplements with electrophysiological in vitro approaches to investigate cellular changes. Dr. Kosse received a B.A. in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge in the UK and a Ph.D. in Neurophysiology from University College London where she worked on hypothalamic circuits in the laboratory of Dr. Denis Burdakov.
