Bradley Miller, MD, PhD earned his BS summa cum laude in Neural Sciences from New York University where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa. As an undergraduate he studied the mechanisms of short term synaptic plasticity and won the Sherrington Award for the best undergraduate neuroscience research. He earned his M.D., Ph.D. degrees from Washington University in Saint Louis. His doctoral research was on the molecular mechanisms of axonal degeneration and was published in Nature Neuroscience. Dr. Miller is now studying the role of the serotonergic system in anxiety and depression using mouse models. He received the NARSARD Young Investigator Award to support this work.
