Dr. Benjamin Deen is a postdoctoral fellow in cognitive and systems neuroscience, working with Dr. Winrich Freiwald at Rockefeller University. His work explores the question of how humans reason about other people, and understand why they do the things they do. To address this question, he applies a systems neuroscience approach to characterizing the human brain, including neuroimaging with dense sampling of individual humans, and intracranial electrical measurements in neurosurgical patients. Dr. Deen obtained his B.S. in Physics and Cognitive Science from Yale University, and his Ph.D. in neuroscience from MIT, where he conducted neuroimaging research with Drs. Rebecca Saxe and Nancy Kanwisher.
