Andrew Chen, MD, PhD, received his
SB in physics and biology from the
Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
where he also conducted biophysics
research on critical transitions in
yeast ecosystems. He then completed
his MD/PhD at Columbia University,
working with Dr. Raul Rabadan to
develop computational approaches
to analyze the genomic and spatial
properties of glioblastomas treated with
immunotherapy. His work has resulted
in several first-author papers, including
publications in Nature Medicine, Genome
Medicine, and Nature Communications.
He is interested in applying techniques
from his previous research to questions
in neuroscience, such as identifying
critical transitions underlying
schizophrenia from imaging data.
