From 2009 to 2023, the Foundation supported 39 Leon Levy Fellowships in Neuroscience in the department of psychiatry under the leadership of Jeffrey Lieberman, then Daniel Salzman. In addition, the Foundation funded 6 Daniel Patrick Moynihan Clinical Research Fellowships, also in psychiatry, under the leadership of Blair Simpson. Columbia University Irving Medical Center hosted the Leon Levy Symposium in Neuroscience in 2013 and 2017. Today, postdocs from Columbia are eligible for the independently-awarded Leon Levy Scholarships in Neuroscience.
