September 2022 –  Flushing’s Bowne House Historical Society is set to receive a major grant from the New York Preservation Archive Project to digitize its important and extensive collection of documents, letters, maps, deeds, photographs and daguerreotypes, books, objects, and ephemera spanning three centuries – a collection that helps to tell the story of the house’s preservation. For the first time the general public – including historians, family history and genealogy enthusiasts, students and scholars – will have online access to the history of Queens and New York City as told through the Bowne House archives.
